My name is Swen Richter and I'm an emerging Seattle based DP who's passionate about bringing stories to life through the art of filmmaking. I was born surrounded by the canals of the Netherlands, raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and graduated from one of America's top film schools in the historic city of Savannah. This diverse set of cultures and experiences is what made me the filmmaker I am today.
I grew up shooting short films with my siblings and neighbors. I always had a knack for creativity so naturally every pick-up game of soccer became a global broadcast, every sleepover became a blockbuster movie set, and every debate became a documentary. Now a days, I channel that energy into my career as I pursue my dreams of visual storytelling.
I'm constantly inspired by the world around me and the people I meet and channel that into every frame and moment. Let's connect and get inspired together.
