My name is Swen Richter, I'm a cinematographer, filmmaker, and photographer based in Pittsburgh. Born in the Netherlands, raised in the Pacific Northwest, studied film in Savannah.This diverse set of cultures and experiences is what made me the filmmaker I am today.

I grew up turning everything into a production; backyard soccer games got the full broadcast treatment, sleepovers became film sets, arguments turned into documentaries. My siblings and neighbors were my first crew. Now I do the same thing, just with better equipment and people who actually signed up for it.

I'm constantly inspired by the world around me and the people I meet and channel that into every frame and moment. Let's connect and get inspired together.
